Datura Fruit (Moon Seeds)

Datura Fruit, also known as Moon Seeds, is a sacred botanical offering deeply associated with Lord Shiva. This spiritually significant fruit is used in temple rituals, abhishekams, and special poojas.

In mythology, Datura is called Shiva-Shekhara, meaning “the crown of Shiva.” It is believed to have emerged from Lord Shiva’s chest after he consumed the deadly poison halahal during the cosmic churning of the ocean (Samudra Manthan). As such, it holds a revered place in spiritual offerings.
